Privacy Policy

FindMyUmrah ("we", "our", "us") operates the website findmyumrah.com and related subdomains. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

This policy applies to:

• Pilgrims — visitors who search for Hajj & Umrah agents on our platform.
• Agents — travel agencies and individuals who register a listing on FindMyUmrah.
• Visitors — anyone who browses our website without registering or searching.

We do not require pilgrims to create an account. When you search or browse the directory, we may collect:

• City or location preference — the city name you type or select in the search bar, to return relevant results.
• Search queries — keywords you enter (e.g. agent name or package type).
• Usage data — pages viewed, buttons clicked, time on page, and device/browser type, collected automatically via analytics tools.
• IP address — collected by our hosting and analytics infrastructure to detect approximate country/region and prevent abuse. We do not store IP addresses linked to individual user profiles.

When you register your agency on FindMyUmrah, we collect:

• Full name — the contact person's name for the listing.
• Email address — used for account login, lead notifications, and platform communications.
• Phone / WhatsApp number — displayed on your public listing so pilgrims can contact you directly.
• Agency name and description — shown on your public directory profile.
• City and state — used to place your listing in the correct geographic category.
• Package types — whether you offer Hajj, Umrah, or both, to power search filters.
• Profile photo or logo — optionally uploaded and displayed on your public listing.
• Google Maps / Place ID data — if connected, we display your verified rating and review count from Google.

• Contact form submissions — name, email, and message content when you use our contact form.
• Technical log data — server access logs including timestamps, URLs accessed, and response codes. Retained for a maximum of 30 days.

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

• Display listings: Agent names, phone numbers, cities, and package types are displayed on public directory pages so pilgrims can find and compare agents.
• Send leads to agents: When a pilgrim clicks the WhatsApp button on an agent's profile, we track this click event to measure platform engagement and provide agents with lead analytics.
• Account management: Agent email addresses are used to send login links, listing approval notifications, and platform updates.
• Platform analytics: Aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us understand which cities are searched most often and how to improve the platform.
• Fraud prevention & moderation: We may use account data and activity logs to detect fake listings, spam, or misuse of the platform.
• Legal compliance: We retain certain data as required by applicable Indian law.

We do not use your personal data for targeted advertising. We do not build individual behavioural profiles for commercial resale.

FindMyUmrah uses Google Firebase as its backend infrastructure. Specifically:

• Firebase Authentication — handles agent account login. Credentials are managed entirely by Google and are not stored in plain text by us.
• Cloud Firestore — our primary database. Agent listing data is stored as documents in Firestore, protected by Firebase Security Rules.
• Firebase Storage — used to store uploaded agent profile images and logos.
• Firebase Hosting — our website is served via Firebase Hosting.

Firebase is a product of Google LLC. Data stored in Firebase may be processed on Google servers, including servers located outside India. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

FindMyUmrah's primary value to pilgrims is a one-click WhatsApp contact button on each agent's profile. When you click this button:

• Your browser opens WhatsApp (web or app) with the agent's number and a pre-filled message.
• We record a click event in our analytics system — this log contains the agent ID, a timestamp, and a session identifier. It does not capture your phone number, WhatsApp ID, or the content of any subsequent conversation.
• The conversation itself takes place entirely within WhatsApp and is subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy. We are not a party to and have no access to that conversation.

Agents may see an aggregate count of WhatsApp lead clicks on their listing within their Agent Dashboard. Individual pilgrim identities are never revealed to agents.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with FindMyUmrah. Google Analytics sets cookies to collect pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate location. This data is aggregated and anonymised. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

• Firebase session tokens — keep you logged in as an agent across page loads.
• User preference cookies — remember your selected city or search filters within a session.

Google Fonts and Font Awesome (CDN) are loaded from third-party servers. These providers may set their own cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising cookies, Facebook Pixel, or any retargeting technology.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Public directory listings: Agent name, phone number, city, package types, and profile photo are publicly displayed on directory pages by design — this is the core service agents sign up for.
• Service providers: Google (Firebase, Analytics, Fonts), Cloudflare CDN, and our hosting providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by Indian law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfer: If FindMyUmrah is acquired or merged, user data may be transferred to the new entity subject to the same privacy commitments.

• Agent account data is retained for the lifetime of the account plus 12 months after deletion to comply with legal obligations.
• Analytics data (Google Analytics) is retained for 26 months per Google's default settings, then automatically deleted.
• Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.
• Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, then permanently deleted.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal data. Agent accounts can be deleted by contacting us; we will process deletion within 30 days.
• Portability: You may request your agent listing data in a machine-readable format (JSON).
• Objection: You may object to certain uses of your data, such as analytics.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@findmyumrah.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

FindMyUmrah is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us at info@findmyumrah.com and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of FindMyUmrah after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
